Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has decided to relocate its finance and supply chain departments from Karachi to Islamabad as part of its ongoing restructuring and administrative reforms, according to reports.
Sources revealed that several senior officials, including the General Manager of the Supply Chain Department, along with six departmental officers, will be shifted to the federal capital in the latest phase of the airline’s reorganization.
The move is aimed at centralizing key operations in Islamabad to improve coordination, streamline decision-making, and enhance operational efficiency within the national carrier.
This development follows PIA’s broader restructuring strategy, under which multiple departments have gradually been moved to Islamabad in recent years.
The relocation is expected to spark concerns among Karachi-based employees, many of whom may be required to transfer or adjust to new postings as part of the transition.
More details regarding the timeline and implementation of the relocation plan are yet to be officially announced by PIA management.
