Kuwait authorities have shut down an illegal home-based restaurant operating from a private residence after discovering spoiled food and multiple health violations during a raid.
According to officials, the unlicensed food business was being run without mandatory health permits and was serving customers from inside a residential property. Inspectors found large quantities of food deemed unfit for human consumption, prompting immediate legal action against those involved.
The operation was carried out by Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior in coordination with the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition following investigations and field monitoring. Authorities also reportedly discovered a warehouse containing banned “Tombac” tobacco products during the raid.
Officials said inspection campaigns will continue across the country to crack down on illegal food operations and protect public health and safety.
