PTI Won’t Seek Revenge if Returns to Power, Says Ali Muhammad

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Ali Muhammad Khan has said the party would not pursue a policy of political revenge if it returns to power, stressing the need for reconciliation and stability in the country.

Speaking about the party’s political approach, Ali Muhammad Khan said PTI leadership believes Pakistan needs to move beyond confrontation and political victimisation. He maintained that the party’s focus would be on strengthening democratic institutions, upholding the rule of law and addressing the country’s pressing economic and political challenges.

The PTI leader said that political differences should not be allowed to turn into personal or institutional vendettas. He indicated that, if given another opportunity to govern, the party would seek to take the country forward through political reconciliation rather than reprisal.

His remarks come amid continued political tensions in Pakistan, where relations between PTI and its political opponents have remained deeply strained. The party has repeatedly raised concerns over legal cases against its leadership, arrests of workers and restrictions on political activities.

Ali Muhammad Khan’s comments signal an emphasis on a more conciliatory political narrative, particularly as PTI continues to demand political space and a resolution to ongoing disputes.

The statement also reflects PTI’s broader argument that political stability requires dialogue among competing political forces. The party has maintained that democratic disagreements should be resolved through constitutional and parliamentary means.

With Pakistan facing significant economic pressures and persistent political uncertainty, calls for reconciliation could influence the tone of future political engagement.
