cma polar report reveals record low arctic sea ice volume

A new report released by the China Meteorological Administration (CMA) has revealed that Arctic sea ice has fallen to record low levels, marking one of the most significant climate signals in recent years.

According to the CMA’s latest Polar Climate report, Arctic sea ice extent and volume have continued to decline sharply, reaching the lowest levels observed in the satellite record. The report highlights that warming in the Arctic is accelerating, with temperatures rising significantly above long-term averages and sea ice shrinking to historic lows.

Scientists involved in the assessment say the Arctic is experiencing persistent warming trends, abnormal climate patterns, and increasingly unstable ice conditions. The report also warns that both the Arctic and Antarctic regions are showing signs of long-term environmental stress linked to global climate change.

The findings are based on satellite observations and polar monitoring systems compiled over the past year.
