Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has submitted a fresh list of senior party leaders to Adiala Jail authorities seeking permission to meet former prime minister Imran Khan, who remains incarcerated in multiple legal cases.

According to party sources, the list was handed over to jail officials ahead of the scheduled meeting day approved under court directives. PTI leaders stated that the purpose of the meeting is to discuss the country’s political situation, internal party matters and preparations for upcoming political activities.

Sources said the submitted names include several key party figures, lawyers and close aides of Imran Khan. Jail authorities are expected to review the list before granting final approval for the meeting in accordance with prison regulations and security protocols.

The development comes amid continued tensions between PTI and the government over restrictions on meetings and communication with the former premier. PTI has repeatedly alleged that party leaders are being denied regular access to Imran Khan despite court orders permitting scheduled meetings.

Party officials claim the consultations with Imran Khan are crucial for political decision-making and organizational affairs as PTI continues to face legal and political challenges nationwide.

Meanwhile, security around Adiala Jail has reportedly been tightened ahead of the expected visits, with additional police personnel deployed in and around the prison premises to maintain law and order.

Imran Khan has been lodged in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail in connection with multiple cases filed against him following his removal from office in 2022. Despite his imprisonment, the former prime minister continues to remain the central figure in PTI’s political strategy and public campaigns.

Legal experts say any meeting between PTI leaders and Imran Khan will take place under strict monitoring and within the framework set by prison authorities and relevant court rulings.

The latest move by PTI is likely to further intensify political discussions as the party continues efforts to maintain coordination with its jailed founder ahead of possible political developments in the coming weeks.
