trump says ‘not satisfied’ with new iran proposal

US President Donald Trump has rejected Iran’s latest proposal aimed at reducing tensions, saying he is “not satisfied” with the offer put forward by Tehran.

According to reports, Iran submitted a revised plan through diplomatic channels in an effort to restart stalled negotiations following weeks of conflict and a fragile ceasefire. However, Trump dismissed the proposal, stating it contains conditions that the United States “cannot accept.”

The proposal reportedly focuses on de-escalation measures first, including easing restrictions in the Strait of Hormuz, while postponing key discussions on Iran’s nuclear program. US officials, however, insist that nuclear issues must be addressed immediately, creating a major hurdle in reaching any agreement.

Trump warned that accepting a weak deal could lead to further instability, signaling that Washington is not willing to rush into an agreement without stricter guarantees.

Despite ongoing diplomatic efforts, he emphasized that all options remain on the table, including possible military action if talks fail.

Tensions between United States and Iran have remained high in recent months, although a ceasefire announced in April has largely held. Pakistan has reportedly been involved in backchannel diplomacy to help mediate between the two sides.

Negotiations are expected to continue, but significant differences remain, raising concerns about a prolonged standoff or renewed escalation.
