Pakistan and several Muslim-majority countries have rejected calls for the removal or forced displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, reaffirming support for the Palestinian people’s right to remain on their land and calling for a political solution to the conflict.

The position comes amid renewed international debate over proposals involving Gaza’s future, including suggestions that Palestinians could be relocated outside the territory. Pakistan has consistently opposed any attempt to forcibly displace Palestinians, warning that such measures would further destabilise the region and undermine prospects for lasting peace.

Officials from Muslim states have stressed that Palestinians must be allowed to remain in Gaza and that any reconstruction or political arrangements should respect their rights and aspirations. The countries have also reiterated support for an independent Palestinian state based on internationally recognised parameters.

The issue has generated strong reactions across the Muslim world, with governments warning that mass displacement would deepen the humanitarian crisis and create further regional instability.

Pakistan has maintained that the Palestinian issue should be resolved through diplomacy and meaningful international engagement. Islamabad has repeatedly called for an immediate end to violence, protection of civilians and unhindered humanitarian assistance for people affected by the conflict.

The governments opposing displacement proposals have also emphasised the importance of preserving Gaza’s territorial integrity and preventing actions that could permanently alter its demographic character.

Meanwhile, international diplomatic efforts continue to focus on securing a durable ceasefire, expanding humanitarian relief and establishing a framework for a long-term political settlement.

The latest statements come as Gaza remains at the centre of global diplomatic attention, with humanitarian organisations warning of severe challenges facing civilians and displaced families.

Pakistan and other Muslim countries are expected to continue raising the issue at international forums and pressing for measures aimed at protecting Palestinian civilians and advancing a political resolution.
