A plane carrying Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy to Norway was nearly struck by a drone while taking off from Moldova, Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre said, revealing a potentially serious security incident involving the Ukrainian leader.
Støre told Norway’s public broadcaster NRK that Zelenskiy’s aircraft “almost” came under threat from a drone as it was preparing to leave Moldova for Oslo. He did not disclose how close the drone came to the aircraft or identify the source of his information.
