Catherine, Princess of Wales, has successfully completed the demanding National Three Peaks Challenge, climbing the highest mountains in Scotland, England, and Wales within 24 hours to raise funds for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
The 44-year-old royal undertook the endurance challenge as a personal tribute following her own cancer treatment and remission. Catherine said the journey was not only a physical test but also an opportunity to “explore life beyond diagnosis” while raising awareness about the importance of holistic cancer care.
The challenge involved scaling Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England, and Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) in Wales. Covering 23 miles of trekking and more than 3,000 metres of climbing, Catherine completed the feat with support from Mountain Rescue teams before being welcomed by Prince William, their three children, and other family members at the finish.
Funds raised through the campaign will support The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity’s work in improving holistic care and services for cancer patients.
Catherine, who announced she was in remission after cancer treatment, described the challenge as a meaningful way to give back and encourage those affected by cancer, stressing that no one should face the disease feeling alone.
