Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif departed for Saudi Arabia on Wednesday as part of an official diplomatic visit aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and discussing key regional matters. According to official statements, the premier is undertaking the visit alongside a high-level delegation comprising senior cabinet members and government officials.
During the visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz is expected to meet top Saudi leadership, including Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, to discuss matters of mutual interest, bilateral cooperation, and regional peace and security.
The Saudi Arabia trip marks the beginning of the prime minister’s broader diplomatic tour, which also includes visits to Qatar and Türkiye from April 15 to 18. Officials say the visits are focused on enhancing strategic partnerships, boosting economic cooperation, and reinforcing Pakistan’s commitment to regional diplomacy.
In Türkiye, PM Shehbaz is also scheduled to participate in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, where he will present Pakistan’s perspective on important global and regional issues during a leaders’ panel alongside other world leaders.
The visit comes at a significant time as Pakistan continues diplomatic engagement with regional allies amid evolving geopolitical developments in the Middle East and beyond.
